Oasi Zegna at The Series 2026: mountain destinations highlight the value of sport

Oasi Zegna took part at The Series for the third consecutive year, the event that brought together the winter sports community in Piazza Mazzini, Jesolo, on May 30th. Evolving from the historic Energiapura Series, the event marked the end of the season while creating an opportunity for everyone involved in skiing – from athletes to those who work every day in mountain destinations – to come together and exchange ideas.

Returning to Jesolo meant reconnecting with young athletes and the many organizations that contribute to the world of skiing. It was also an opportunity to engage with other destinations that have successfully developed distinctive projects rooted in their unique characteristics. This valuable exchange encouraged participants to look beyond the season’s results and reflect on the role that sport plays in the life and development of a territory.

This theme was at the heart of the roundtable discussion, “Small destinations, great stories” in which Riccardo Capo, Chief Executive Officer of Oasi Zegna, took part. Joining him were Virna Pierobon representing Val di Fassa, Daniela Vecchiato representing Alpe Cimbra, and Sara Legrenzi representing Monte Pora.

The discussion focused on the value of mountain destinations and their ability to express a strong and distinctive identity while maintaining close ties with the communities that inhabit them. For Oasi Zegna, this means continuing to promote Bielmonte as a mountain destination to be enjoyed year-round, where sport grows naturally from a deep connection with the surrounding environment.

Within this vision, the Oasi Zegna Ski Racing Center has strengthened its role in recent years as an innovative hub dedicated to competitive skiing. The slopes of Bielmonte welcome everyone from ski clubs to elite athletes, serving as an official training venue for the national teams of FISI (the Italian Winter Sports Federation) and as a point of reference for international teams as well. This growth reflects Oasi Zegna’s ability to combine a strong sporting culture with a long-term vision for territorial development.
